    1. Thanks for your comment! It is wonderful news and there will be so many more victories for animals this year and in future. To think that between 2012 and 2016, the number of Australian adults whose diet is all or almost all vegetarian has risen from 1.7 million people (or 9.7% of the population) to almost 2.1 million (11.2%) is one indication. North Americans are moving in this direction also as circuses close down and fewer hens are being stuffed into battery cages, soring walking horses is outlawed, and so much more. Lots of work to do and I only hope that the incoming president of the US will uphold some of the great strides in animal welfare made by President Obama. Here in Canada, we have our own shameful issues such as the seal hunt and in Ontario one can own exotic animals like monkeys, lion cubs etc. When will it all end, but in the meantime news of this iconic big top bringing down its curtains is cause for celebration.
