In my living room, wolves stare at me from all four walls. Artists Neil Blackwell, Carl Brenders and Larry Fanning’s wolves are exquisite, but nothing can compare to the beauty of wolves living in the wild as they were meant to live. Imagine if all we had left were artists’ renderings of the once magnificent wild wolf? Wolves must be protected. In Canada and the United States, wolves have endured so much for so long, then some progress, and now this decimation of the Profanity Peak Pack to protect livestock that shouldn’t even be there. It is truly heartwrenching. We owe it to the wolves, all wildlife and future generations to rethink the management of all public lands now. We must do what we can to stop this slaughter.
