Heaven Can Wait Equine Rescue is located in Ontario, Canada. This Equine Rescue was started by Claire Malcolm in 1997 to help save horses and ponies from slaughte. She takes in any unwanted horse or pony and finds them a new, loving home. HCW has placed 400+ equines into new families in the past 8 years.
The Performing Animal Welfare Society(PAWS)
Since 1984, PAWS has been at the forefront of efforts to rescue and provide appropriate, humane sanctuary for animals who have been the victims of the exotic and performing animal trades. PAWS investigates reports of abused performing and exotic animals, documents cruelty and assists in investigations and prosecutions by regulatory agencies to alleviate the suffering of captive wildlife.
